Hint #1 - Fossil Hunt: Squeeze The Bug
The best way to take out the enemy boss is to create a series of small spaces made of unexcavated areas. If you have a whole series of small, unexcavated "rooms" on the board, the boss bug will end up in one eventually. How is this accomplished? Create a bar across the center of the board from left to right that starts on the left (or the right) but doesn't quite make it to the opposite side. Make it a little bit at a time so that you're not attacked. Next, create vertical (up and down) excavated areas that don't quite reach the top and bottom edges of the board. You now have a series of tiny rooms that are connected by...
Hint #2 - Fossil Hunt: Tiny Little Doorways
...tiny, little doorways. When the boss bug works its way into one of the tiny, little rooms you've created, close off the doors. You'll take out the boss the boss bug and your clearance percentage will be high.
Hint #3 - Fossil Hunt: Inch Up To The Pick Up
Trying to grab a Pick Up? Don't just go for it if there are any enemy bugs around. Work at it a little bit at a time when they're out of reach. Pick Ups will keep appearing in the same location if the area hasn't been excavated, so if it leaves it WILL come back. This is the same technique recommended when creating the tiny, little rooms (above).
Hint #4 - Dino Battle: Use Some Logic
While this demo game is almost entirely based on luck, some of the "Tech" techniques should demand logic. Does the abilitie's name mention healing? Don't use it if you haven't taken any damage. There are a lot of clues in the names. Use them.
