Hint #1 - Do you have character? (both games)
There are five types of characters in the game: All-Around, Powerful, Speedy, Technical, and Tricky. Not all of these character types are as useful in Single-Card Download as they are in the main, single-player basketball game. Pick your character type carefully. For example, a Speedy character may be more beneficial in a mini game than a skilled Technical shooter.
Hint #2 - Jump Shot To Safety (both games)
All of the characters can perform a jump shot by quickly swiping up on the lower screen with the stylus. While there are no baskets to shoot in the Single-Card Download mini games, the same maneuver can be used to jump over weapons and thrown obstacles. A shell's coming at you? Jump Shot over it!
Hint #3 - Environmental Interruptions (Dribble Race)
There are attacks you can suffer from that come from the course itself. In Peach's Castle, shells are shot at you. On Sushine Road, giant tire rollers wheel in circles. Watch out for these dangers and, if you can, why not Jump Shot over them?
Hint #4 - Pick 'Em Back Up (Coin Hunter)
It's important to pick up as many coins as possible, but it's even more important to not run out (if you do, you lose). If you get hit and lose some coins, make sure to pick back up as many as possible before your opponents do.
