Hint #1 - Tricked Out For The Win
The basic moves are all well and good, but using the more in depth maneuvers like the U-turn and the loop - and balancing them with the standard moves - is something that can give you a huge advantage in a dogfight (or at least help you keep up if your opponent is using them). For a lot of players, the natural instinct is to turn and follow the opponent and keep shooting, but that isn't always the most successful strategy. The more moves you have in your arsenal, the better you'll do overall.
Hint #2 - Upgrades Are A Comin'
Another advantage can be gained by picking up some of the upgrades like the plasma shot or twin shot to increase weapon power. Stealth mode allows you to sneak up on your opponent. The time bomb is very useful if your opponent get hit; if you have an opponent that often uses the automatic U-turn at the edge of the radar, the time bomb makes a great present for the end of the maneuver! Finally, the supply ring is essential: it can refuel your Arwing fighter and restores your shields if you've been hit!
Hint #3 - Da Barrsss!
Remember to constantly check both your Shield Level Bar and your Boost Gauge Bar. When your Shield Level Bar is low, seek out a supply ring before you're blown out of the sky. If your Boost Gauge Bar is low, you'll have to wait until it fills to perform certain maneuvers. Knowing the status of both of your bars is essential to success against anyone that knows what they're doing.
