Game Controls / How To Play - Roc 'N Rope
1. Before beginning, press the Select button to "put in quarters for credits".
2. To begin playing the game, press the Start button.
3. Walk: Press left or right on the Direction Pad.
4. Shine A Light: Press the "A" button to temporarily blind and confuse an enemy.
5. Shoot The Rope: Press the "B" button.
6. Grab The Rope: Press up on the Direction Pad while directly beneath the rope.
7. Scale The Rope: Press left or right on the Direction Pad.
8. Climb Off Rope: Press up on the Direction Pad when at the end of the line.
9. Drop Off Rope: Press down on the Direction Pad when above land.
10. Climb Down Vines: While standing above a vine, press down on the direction pad.
11. Eat The Food: Walk into the shiny egg to become temporarily invincible.
What To Look For - Roc 'N Rope
1. On the upper screen, the gameplay is displayed.
2. On the upper screen, Player 1's score is in the top left corner.
3. On the upper screen, the current stage number is beneath Player 1's score.
4. On the upper screen, the number of backup lives is shown beneath the stage number.
5. On the upper screen, the high score is in the top center of the screen.
6. On the upper screen, Player 2's score is in the top right corner.
7. On the upper screen, the current bonus score is shown beneath Player 2's score.
8. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the PAUSE button is in the bottom left corner.
9. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the RESET button is in the bottom center.
10. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the EXIT button is in the bottom right corner.
11. On the lower screen (Demo), the four screen orientation buttons are in and near the top left corner of the screen.
NOTE: In order, the screen orientation buttons are LATERAL FULL, LATERAL ASPECT RATIO, VERTICAL RIGHT TOP, and VERTICAL LEFT TOP.
12. On the lower screen (Demo), the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left.
13. On the lower screen (Demo), the RESET button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center.
14. On the lower screen (Demo), the EXIT button is along the bottom of the screen, to the right.
15. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), a duplication of the DS's buttons and Direction Pad is shown, indicating when buttons are pushed (guest).
16. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left (guest).
17. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the RESET button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center (guest).
18. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the EXIT button is along the bottom of the screen, to the right (host and guest).
Overall Goals - Roc 'N Rope
1. Score the most points.
2. Stay alive/active the longest.
Game Hints - Roc 'N Rope
1. Enemies can mess with your rope and make you fall, so be careful when one is near an entrance point.
2. If you are on the rope and you're in trouble, drop down. Sometimes, you'll need to use this to get to specific platforms.

Replay Controls / How To Watch - Roc 'N Rope
1. While watching a replay, a previously played game will be shown.
2. The only options are to pause the replay, rewind the replay, stop the replay (quit), or change the screen orientation.
3. To pause the replay, tap the on-screen "PAUSE" button.
4. To rewind the replay, tap the on-screen "REWIND" button.
5. To stop the replay, tap the on-screen "STOP" button (this will exit the replay and require the system to be turned off).
6. To make the upper screen show the action in the original aspect ratio (shape), tap the "LATERAL ASPECT RATIO" button (the default).
7. To make the upper screen show the action using the entire upper screen, tap the "LATERAL FULL" button.
8. To make the upper screen show the action with the DS held like a book and the touch screen on the right, tap the "VERTICAL RIGHT TOP" button.
9. To make the upper screen show the action with the DS held like a book and the touch screen on the left, tap the "VERTICAL LEFT TOP" button.
What To Look For - Roc 'N Rope
1. On the upper screen, the replay will be shown.
2. On the upper screen, Player 1's score is in the top left corner.
3. On the upper screen, the current stage number is beneath Player 1's score.
4. On the upper screen, the number of backup lives is shown beneath the stage number.
5. On the upper screen, the high score is in the top center of the screen.
6. On the upper screen, Player 2's score is in the top right corner.
7. On the upper screen, the current bonus score is shown beneath Player 2's score.
8. On the lower screen, the amount of time that has elapsed in the replay is in the top left corner.
9. On the lower screen, the buttons currently being pushed are shown in the top right corner.
10. On the lower screen, the four screen orientation buttons are in the middle left of the screen.
NOTE: In order, the screen orientation buttons are LATERAL FULL, LATERAL ASPECT RATIO, VERTICAL RIGHT TOP, and VERTICAL LEFT TOP.
11. On the lower screen, the REWIND button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left.
12. On the lower screen, the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center.
13. On the lower screen, the STOP button is along the bottom of the screen, to the right.
